A Morning with Marshecka

Mornings are sacred to me. They set the tone for everything that follows, not just in business, but in life. Over the years, I’ve learned that how I begin my day shapes how I show up for my clients, my family, and myself.

One of the voices that inspired this practice is Robin Sharma, who often says, “Own your morning, elevate your life.” Those words have stayed with me, and they remind me that if I want to create legacy-driven celebrations for others, I have to first create intention in my own life.

Inside My Morning Rhythm

I start most days before the sun rises. The quiet of early morning feels like a gift, a moment of clarity before the world begins to move.

  • 5:00 AM Wake-Up → The stillness allows me to set the tone of the day before the demands of the world arrive.
  • Prayer + Meditation → I spend a few minutes connecting with God, asking for guidance, clarity, and peace.
  • Gratitude Journal → I jot down what I’m thankful for — both the big milestones and the simple joys. Gratitude shifts my perspective and reminds me how abundant life already is.
  • Reading & Listening → Often, I’ll read a few pages of a book or listen to a podcast by Gabby Bernstein or Rachel Rodgers. Both women inspire me in different ways, Gabby brings a spiritual lens, and Rachel brings a business mindset that challenges me to think bigger.
  • Movement → Whether it’s a Peloton ride or strength training, moving my body helps me feel energized and focused.
  • Coffee & Reflection → A quiet cup of coffee is my space to breathe and dream before I step into planning and designing.

It’s a rhythm that nourishes my soul and equips me to pour into others from a place of fullness.

How My Mornings Shape the Client Experience

My clients hire me because they want more than a planner. They want someone who will anticipate needs, manage every detail, and protect their peace. That requires clarity, energy, and presence, things I can only give if I first create them in my own life. ✨

This is what Robin Sharma means when he speaks about discipline and legacy. It’s not just about the tasks of the morning, it’s about who you become through them. My mornings remind me that if I can show up fully for myself, I can show up fully for the couples and families who trust me with their most meaningful celebrations.

A Morning Reminder for You

So here’s my encouragement to you: don’t underestimate the power of your mornings. Whether you’re planning a wedding, building a career, or simply caring for your family, the way you begin your day matters.

As Robin Sharma says, “Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end.” For me, that “gorgeous” shows up when I watch a bride walk down the aisle, when I see a groom’s face light up, or when I hear a client say they felt truly cared for. ❤️

✨ Mondays with Marshecka is my space to share these personal reflections with you. My hope is that by letting you peek into my mornings, gratitude journal, a dose of wisdom from Gabby Bernstein or Rachel Rodgers, and a cup of coffee in hand, you’ll not only know me better, but also feel inspired to create your own intentional rhythms. Happy Monday!
